The Federal Association of Tour Guides in Germany e. V. (hereinafter BVGD), as the provider of the website www.bvgd.org and as the responsible body, takes the obligation to data protection very seriously and designs its website in such a way that only as little personal data as necessary is collected, processed and used. Under no circumstances will personal information be rented or sold to third parties for promotional purposes. No personal data will be used for advertising or marketing purposes without the visitor's express consent.

At the BVGD, only those people who need this data to carry out their tasks within the responsible body, who are informed about the legal provisions on data protection and who comply with the applicable legal provisions (Article 5 of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (EU -GDPR)) are obliged to comply with this. The collection, processing, use and transmission of the collected personal data takes place, in accordance with Article 6, Paragraph 1 of the EU GDPR, only to the extent that is necessary for the implementation of a contractual relationship between the BVGD as the responsible body and the visitor as the data subject.

CHANGES IN PURPOSES OF PROCESSING AND DATA USE

Since the processing procedures used may change or develop further due to technical progress and organizational changes, we reserve the right to further develop this data protection declaration in accordance with the new technical framework. We therefore ask you to check the BVGD data protection declaration from time to time. If you do not agree with the further developments that occur over time, you can request in writing, in accordance with Article 17 of the EU GDPR, that the data that is not stored on the basis of other legal requirements such as commercial or tax retention obligations be deleted.

ANONYMOUS DATA COLLECTION

In principle, you can visit the websites of the responsible body without telling us who you are. We only know the name of your Internet service provider, the website from which you visit us and the websites that you visit on our site. This information is analyzed for statistical purposes. COLLECTION AND PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA

Personal data is only collected if you provide it to us yourself, for example when subscribing to the newsletter. The responsible body adheres to the requirements of Articles 5 and 6 of the EU GDPR. As part of the personalized services of the responsible body, your registration data will be processed, subject to your consent, for the purpose of sending our newsletter or to tailor the electronic services offered to your needs. The processing and use of your personal data is carried out in accordance with the requirements of the EU GDPR.

EXPORT AND PROCESSING OF DATA IN COUNTRIES OUTSIDE THE EUROPEAN ECONOMIC AREA

There will be no export of your personal data to countries outside the European Economic Area (hereinafter EEA). Nevertheless, if you are logged into Facebook or have a Twitter account or an Instagram account, personal data can be exported to the USA. If you are logged in to Google or have a YouTube account, personal data can be exported to the USA. For more detailed explanations and ways to prevent this data export, please see the section “Use of YouTube plugins”.

However, personal data is not transmitted to Google as part of the use of analysis programs by the responsible body, as your IP address is only transmitted anonymously. Please read the “Use of analysis programs” section of this data protection declaration.

The service providers engaged by the responsible body are based and operate their IT infrastructure exclusively within the EEA. This also applies to any use of cloud-based services. There are contracts with the service providers that comply with the data protection and data security requirements of the EU GDPR. Even if external service providers are involved, the BVGD remains the body responsible for processing.

USE AND DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

The personal data collected on the websites of the responsible body will only be used without your consent to process the contract and process your inquiries. In addition, your data will only be used by the responsible body for advertising and market research purposes if you have previously given your consent. USE OF COOKIES

The responsible body uses so-called “cookies” to individually design and optimize the customer’s online experience and online time. A cookie is a text file that is either temporarily stored in the computer's memory ("session cookie") or stored on the hard drive ("persistent" cookie). AVOIDING COOKIES

The responsible body carries out or has analyzes carried out on the behavior of its customers when using its service. For this purpose, anonymized or pseudonymized usage profiles are created. The usage profiles are created for the sole purpose of continually improving the service of the responsible body.

As part of web analysis, the responsible party also uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service from Google Inc. USE OF FACEBOOK SOCIAL PLUGINS

The responsible body uses social plugins (“plugins”) from the social network facebook.com on its website, which is operated by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA (“Facebook”). The plugins are marked with a Facebook logo. If the customer accesses a website of the responsible body that contains such a plug-in, the customer's browser establishes a direct connection to the Facebook servers. The content of the plugin is transmitted by Facebook directly to the customer's browser and integrated into the website by it.

By integrating the plugins, Facebook receives the information that the customer has accessed the relevant page on the website of the responsible body. If the customer is logged in to Facebook, Facebook can assign the customer's visit to his Facebook account. If the customer interacts with the plugins, for example by clicking the “Like” button or making a comment, the corresponding information is transmitted from the customer’s browser directly to Facebook and stored there. If the customer does not want Facebook to collect data in the manner described above, the customer must log out of Facebook before visiting the website of the responsible body.

USE OF TWITTER

The responsible body uses functions of the Twitter service on its website. These functions are offered by Twitter Inc., Twitter, Inc. 1355 Market St, Suite 900, San Francisco, CA 94103, USA. By using Twitter and the “Re-Tweet” function, the websites you visit are linked to your Twitter account and made known to other users. This data is also transmitted to Twitter.

The responsible body uses plugins from the provider YouTube on its website. When you access our website, which has a YouTube plugin, a connection is established to the YouTube servers. This sends information to the YouTube server about which websites you have visited. If you are logged in as a YouTube member, YouTube assigns this information to your personal user account. When you use the plugin, such as clicking on the start button of a video, this information is also assigned to your user account.

You can prevent this assignment by logging out of your YouTube user account and other user accounts of YouTube LLC and Google Inc. before using our website and deleting the companies' corresponding cookies.
